Gone Home

It is with great sadness that I heard that Cliff Roberts had passed away this week, after a fairly long and progressive illness.

Cliff was a stalwart at the 5th Testwood group and supported his wife Margaret in her many Scouting roles at the 5th, as far back as 1976. For very many years Cliff would look after the HQ and every week he would cycle up and make sure the tables and chairs were set up for bingo. In later years, until he was unable to, Cliff would help Margaret serve the refreshments at bingo, everyone was happy to see him and he always had a smile for the ladies.

Our sincere condolences to Margaret and the family at this sad time.

Risk Assessments (from Robin)

A great big thank you to those who have already submitted their Risk Assessments and Action Plans, remember that the County Commissioner has said there is no rush to complete these and let’s get it right.

Please be aware that the process for approval takes between 24 and 72 hours by the time Tim and I have managed to review it request any alterations and asked for re-submission, it then needs to be posted through the smart sheet process. All Covid-19 risk assessments should be lodged at least 7 days in advance of any activities happening.

Finally a further thank you for finding the time to deliver this above all the other things we are delivering at the minute.

Training

Don’t forget that webinar training is still available, booking via the Hampshire Scouts website. Your local Training Advisors are still available to validate training so please get in touch with one of them.
