New leadership at the 3rd

Congratulations to Tara Paul who has agreed to step into the role of Group Scout Leader at the 3rd Ashurst & Colbury; Tara has been covering the role for several months and doing that when it then coincided with lock-down was an admirable commitment. Thank you Tara.

Appointments Advisory Committee

Congratulations to the new members of our New Forest North Appointments Advisory Committee, who completed their Zoom Module 37 training last Thursday evening. They are Sue Sims (new chair of the AAC), Julie Mair (actually delivered the training!), Rosie Le Bas, Chris Hughes, Debbie St John, Fiona Francis and Shaun Francis. Also, our thanks to Tim Evans, who is staying on as AAC Secretary, Tim does an invaluable job.

If anyone else would like to consider an AAC member role then please let me know, the more we have the less meetings everyone needs to do.

Exciting International Opportunities (from Mike Baxter)

We have just put up on the Hampshire Website, International Opportunities for the summer of 2021. All of these have limited spaces, and closing dates in August 20, so you will need to move quickly. The opportunities range from older Scouts through Explorers, Young Leaders, Network and Adults, so quite an age range.

A summary of the opportunities can be found at hampshirescouting.org.uk/intopp2021
