Reminder – Founder’s Day Get Together
New Forest North Active Support are preparing our Annual Founder’s Day event to celebrate the birthday of Robert Baden-Powell, our founder.
This year it has been decided to try something different with a skittles afternoon and ploughman’s meal to keep the event youth shaped as everyone likes a bit of bowling. The invitation is open to everyone so spread the invite far and wide please.
Monopoly Run
A report from Kev Harmer, who organised yesterday’s fantastic New Forest North Monopoly Run.
18 teams took part, making their way around the forest taking selfies in various locations and everyone was back in time for the prize giving. The overall winner was Lee Philps from Everett Troop, apparently Lee was very determined from the beginning!
Scout Band Recruitment
Stanley’s Own band are looking to grow and would like to open it up to all groups within the district. In the past many presumed that the band was only open to Stanley’s Own members!
We’d like to visit the different groups and can either show a short presentation or we are looking to plan whole evenings to work towards musician badges. Please contact Joy directly if you would like the band to come and visit, [email protected]
