What do they do?
The Trustee Board is a team of volunteers who work together, as charity trustees, to make sure New Forest Scouts is run safely and legally.
At the heart of their role is a focus on strategy, performance and assurance. Effective Trustee Board governance helps our volunteers deliver fantastic programmes so young people gain skills for life.
The part our trustees play
As Scouts, we help young people learn skills for life. We’re also a charity and need to meet our charitable purpose. Our trustees make sure that all our Scouts across the New Forest are well resourced, our volunteers have the skills they need, and the rules are being followed.
Team Lead
The Team Leader of the Board of Trustees is the Chair: Donna Kerrigan. Donna has a wealth of experience from Scouting locally and within Hampshire for many years. She knows her stuff, including the right questions to ask so our Trustees are confident we run safe Scouting for all that follows the rules.
Also part of the Trustee Board are some Trustee officers such as the District Treasurer, some individuals as part of their role, such as District Team Leader and District Youth Lead, and others who within the district act just as Trustees.
