Cubs Sleep with Sharks!

Eight years after their last visit, the Cubs of New Forest District once again plunged into adventure with a fantastic “Sleep with the Sharks” trip at the incredible Plymouth Aquarium.

The Cubs discovered both the most fascinating and the most delightfully gross creatures of the deep, from those lurking beneath our own coastline to the vibrant marine life of the Great Barrier Reef on the other side of the world.

After a long coach journey, the excitement truly began. The first stop was the café for a well-earned dinner, before the Cubs were taken on a guided tour of the aquarium. They explored the wonders hidden just beyond the glass, including the impressive collection of sharks that call the aquarium home.

Once beds were set up, the Cubs settled in for a cosy movie night, watching Disney’s Luca while enjoying ice cream tucked up in their sleeping bags, a perfect end to a busy day.

In the morning, they woke to the soft glow of the magnificent Eddystone Reef tank, watching its residents stir to life as the new day began. It was a magical and unforgettable experience for all.
