Explorers
Take the adventure to the max and explore on a global scale.

Explorer Scouts is the section for 14 to 18 year olds. They’re leaders and shapers. They choose their adventure and go even further than before. Camping and trekking in the UK and abroad, they really do live up to their name.

Explorer scouts give something back as a Young Leader and can reach the top by going for the top awards. These all give our explorer scouts skills to set them up for life so their CV can really come alive.

Explorers in our district

Every year the Explorers in our district join up to enjoy some big events. These include the annual quiz, Christmas events and the Eagle Trophy night incident hike.

Explorers also take part in bigger events with other Explorers from across Hampshire, the UK and the world. From the Kudu night incident hike, the national Winter camp and the four-yearly Suisse Adventure to Kanderstag International Scout Centre.

There are several Explorer Scout Units across our district so chances are you’re not far from one.

Explorers often take part in expeditions including the opportunity to take part in the regular District Expedition.

Explorer Units are supported by Andy Chatwin, who leads Explorers across Hampshire.
